This pair of drab Danish armchairs were in need of a revival – and what a transformation!

Whilst minimalism is key to mid-century modern style, the grey and brown wool fabric was looking dated and dull (to be frank).

Our client chose this striking geometric chevron weave from Black Edition’s Muoto collection, in the Mehndi colourway. The combination of bouclé and chenille brings texture and a luxuriously soft finish.

Fully reupholstered whilst retaining their original character, the chairs still showcase their exposed wooden armrests – a hallmark of Danish furniture design. The result? A fresh, contemporary look that wouldn’t feel out of place in a modern home, or indeed a high-rise Manchester apartment, as seen below!
